This division identifies, develops and
implements the necessary activities,
resources and communication requirements to
actively encourage the enrollment of new
members, promote upgrade of memberships of
existing members and retention of all
members.
A) Council of
Trustees
Linda
Knudsen, Baptist Health South Florida
The Council of Trustees is a valuable
resource to the Chamber. Trustees meet
monthly at various locations for luncheons,
receptions and other events. Up to five
representatives from each Trustee company
may attend Chamber functions. Monthly
receptions at Trustee members’ business
locations provide a gracious and informative
opportunity for additional networking.
Currently there are more than 160 Trustee
members of the Chamber
Goals:
• Establish communications with new Trustee
members to make them feel welcome and
engaged in the Chamber community.
• Re-engage less active Trustee members.
• Increase number of Trustee members by 30.
• Partner with other Chamber committees and
community organizations to host events.
• Coordinate all Trustee events, including
monthly receptions and luncheons.
• Arrange for interesting speakers/programs
at monthly events.
• Secure sponsorships for all Trustee
events.
• Help Trustees understand the value of
their membership and assist with retention;
re-engage non-active Trustee members.
• Write monthly newsletter articles that
focus on Trustee outreach and events.
• Continue promotion of the Chamber through
other community venues.
• Increase involvement of community leaders
at Trustee events.
B) M-Team
Amy Donner, Community Newspaper
Mission is to build our membership through
direct cultivation of new members and the
support of a membership drive that
encourages current members to invite and
sponsor potential members to join the
Chamber.
Goals:
• Increase the committee by 3-5 members
• Host Table at Breakfast for prospects
•
Assist Membership Sales Team by identifying
3 qualified leads each month
• Reach out to other Chambers and Business
Associations and invite them to attend our
events
• Secure sponsors and table tops for the
March Madness Table Top Expo. Increase
number of table tops and overall attendance
to the event by 10%
C) Chairman’s
Ambassadors
Alex
Vicencio, Wells Fargo Advisors
Ambassadors assist the Chamber in retaining
its current membership through on-going
personal contact, participation and
education of Chamber membership benefits.
Ambassadors also act as table hosts and
greeters at the monthly membership breakfast
and events and develop and maintain
activities to convert prospects into
members.
Goals:
• Commit to specific networking time at
every Good Morning Coral Gables breakfast.
Chairman’s Ambassadors facilitate members
getting to their tables to allow ample time
for business card exchange and meaningful
table networking.
• Increase collaboration between M-Team and
Chairman’s Ambassadors in order to foster
member retention. Both committees work
together towards providing exceptional
member services while encouraging
relationship building.
• Continue Chairman’s Ambassador Apprentice
Program. New Chairman’s Ambassadors to
receive on the job training from experienced
Ambassadors for three month period.
• Increase Chairman’s Ambassador’s event
attendance beyond Good Morning Coral Gables.
• Event attendance sign-in sheet will be
provided to track all event participation by
each Chairman’s Ambassador.
• Chairman, Vice-Chair, President, Committee
Chair and staff liaison to vote on
Chairman’s Ambassador of the Month based on
event participation, professionalism
displayed, Chamber staff and membership
retention through renewals and membership
upgrades.
D) 20/30 Group
Marianne
Perkins, CompuPay, Inc.
The 20/30 Group Committee provides a
platform for emerging leaders within the
Chamber to further develop leadership and
entrepreneurial skills, build their
networks, contribute to the Coral Gables
Community and to have fun! Provides younger
members of the Chamber with a core group of
like-minded contacts from which to broaden
their network and expand their businesses.
Goals:
• Grow Wind Down Wednesday to a monthly
event.• Continue Rising Star Award with a
new title sponsor.• Develop Community
Service Project in conjunction with other
Chamber committees.
